Overview

Reporting to an interagency Steering Committee, Andrew is the Project Director to oversee the construction and commissioning of the new Women’s Remand and Reintegration Facility.  This involves managing a two stage EOI/RFP procurement process for a private sector operator, preparing an internal cost model to evaluate value for money, negotiation of operator contracts, and managing commissioning and transition of prisoners to the new facility.

  • Project management, including:
    • management of consultants;
    • budget and schedule management;
    • risk management; and
    • people management.
  • Contract and procurement management, including:
    • acting as the client representative;
    • development and implementation of the request for tender system (tender documentation, evaluation, negotiation, contract documentation, award); and
    • hand-over to the contract administration team.
  • Stakeholder management, including:
    • national and international contractors;
    • various government departments (operating departments and central agencies);
    • multi-department project working group; and
    • multi-department project steering committee.
